In the military, we take an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;” … I think most of us can honestly say that we have enemies within the United States of America (domestic enemies) that want to create an anarchic, Socialist, and Godless nation, or, as I now say, create the “Ununited States of Socialist America!” We need to bring God back into our nation, our states, our cities, our communities or we can expect to get more of what we are experiencing (chaos). We need to stand as “Veterans United for Liberty” and take back our communities and our nation!
First, let’s take a look at what the bible says in Psalm 9:17.“The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all nations that forget God. What does that mean? It means, if we remove God from our nation, we will die as a nation. It’s that simple. It’s also notable that communist/socialist nations such as China, the former USSR, and many others throughout time have strongly discouraged all religion of any sort. Unchecked Socialism, which many in this nation ascribe to, always ends in abject failure. Margaret Thatcher stated, “Socialism works well until you run out of other people’s money.”
Our forefathers, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Monroe, and many others believed in a “Supreme Being” or God. Many claim that they (America’s forefathers) were deists, agnostic…when in all actuality many were Christians. Hell – our first Bill of Right protects religion, it states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” Freedom of religion not freedom from religion was one of the many primary reasons the colonists rebelled against England.
I am a Mason and York Rite Mason who understands the “craft,” of masonry, not witchcraft, satanism…or any other foolishness but the moral, noble and upright desires of all Masons to become brothers, better men, and servants of God; this is especially true of our forefathers. Let’s take a quick look at some of the places God is placed, mentioned, or referred to in our American history. And – then I will give you a couple of our forefather’s quotes. God is found in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the halls of our nation’s capital, the White House, the Supreme Court, in our Pledge, on our money and the list is endless. All presidents have mentioned God in their State of the Union addresses or anytime they’ve had to address the nation in times of crisis.
George Washington stated, “It is impossible to govern the universe without the aid of a Supreme Being. Let us, therefore, unite in imploring the Supreme Ruler of nations to spread His holy protection over these United States; to stop the mechanisms of the wicked; to confirm our Constitution… and to verify the anticipations of this government’s being a safeguard to human rights.” Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address at the end goes like this, “that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain – that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom – and that the government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Benjamin Franklin’s statement, “Let me add, only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” John Adams stated, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Our forefathers were some of the most brilliant minds of the Enlightenment era if they believed God was essential in all areas of government, shouldn’t we take heed to their wisdom?
There are many Godly socialistic features in our great country which were intended to assist those who were in need or down on their luck. However – today – the godless left is insistent on paying for all people from the cradle to the grave. Socialism does not work! It has failed at every try which is why I don’t understand the Democrats’ reasoning for extensive socialism. Other than creating a dependent voting base for themselves.
I’m reading a wonderful book by David Jeremiah, “The Book of Signs.” In the book, it stated that a Christian is dying every 5 minutes in our world currently. In 2017, the Open Doors Organization, an organization that monitors the top 50 nations with the highest persecution of Christians noted that in 21 countries,100% are persecuted for their faith in Christ. And – more than 215 million face “high levels” of persecution. Nearly 1 in every 12 Christians lives in an area or culture in which Christianity is illegal, forbidden, or punished. I do not see that when other “religions” are freely practiced and ignorantly accepted by the majority of society. Our country was formed on Christianity! Sadly – there’s another group called the International Christian Concern, they highlighted 3 countries where religious discrimination and persecution have reached a certain threshold of concern. They are the United States of America, Russia, and Mexico. If this isn’t concerning, I don’t know what would be.
Not only are we seeing this at a national level, but we are seeing this same behavior and attitude in Duluth, Minnesota. I have seen so many churches, as Bonhoeffer would say, “Cheapening Christ’s Grace.” That’s not to be judgmental, it is a factual statement. There are many liberal churches in this area that are NOT preaching the gospel. Where “objective” truths that are no longer preached or are respected. God makes ALL judgments, not man, but man rewriting scripture or being so apologetic that it fits a groups narrative that anything goes is not alright.
My next article is going to be on leadership, or, the lack of leadership in our State and community. We have people in this administration that believe they are God’s gift to leadership when in reality, they have zero understanding what it means to be a leader and are ungodly by biblical standards. They cannot grasp, nor do they have any of the attributes of being a leader. Good leaders will admit they do not know everything, but they are smart enough to utilize the knowledge of others that have strong abilities in a variety of areas. Duluth’s Administration does not bring people in that are not like-minded which is very problematic and, again, shows a lack of real leadership.
With what we have seen after the tragic and unfortunate death of George Floyd, who also bears personal responsibility in his death, by doing drugs, check forgery and resisting arrest that fateful Observed Memorial Day. If he’d just gotten into the vehicle, he might still be alive. The police officer (Chauvin) is definitely guilty of manslaughter but we must see how the courts judge this tragedy. But – God’s judgment reigns supreme. There has been the total absence of God, a total lack of leadership in defending the lives and property of others, and the extreme loss of control and lawlessness that is to be expected when we remove God (Christ) from our lives. How bad must things get before we start bringing God back into our schools, our churches, our homes, our legislatures, our councils, places of worship, or cities, our states, and our Nation? The devil has certainly gotten a foothold in our nation, and, now we are suffering the repercussions. This is what we deserve!
